LADIES FELLOWSHIP
We were formed in 1966, and we meet every Wednesday. We are recognisably friendly, have a variety of speakers, light-hearted and serious, creative and topical, and have supported many charities over the years, including cancer-related funds.
MOTHERS' UNION
The Mothers' Union is not a trade union, but is an organisation that covers 78 countries. It was founded over 130 years ago by Mary Sumner to support young mothers who had little spiritual background. The MU still aims to build up family life at home and abroad, with prayer remaining central to its aims and axctivity.
THe MU is open to all women whether single, married or divorced, and having children is not a requirement. Indeed for many years now men too are eligible to become members.Interest in overseas work is complemented by national and local involvement in supporting parenting and literacy skills. Many MU groups are now no longer full of younger mums, and often consist predominantly of the over-75s.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
We meet at 10.30am except on 2nd Sundays when we join together in the Family Service. We enjoy learning through story, games, art&craft, puppets and drama in a friendly atmosphere.
All Saints' Church is near the city end of Fulwell Road, opposite the Print Centre.
FUN@4
This whole-parish initiative offers at 4pm on the last Sunday of each month a very informal, friendly and creative experience of worship for samall children and their parents.
